Carles Coto is a Spanish former professional football player who started his carreer in Barcelona’s youth system in 2001 at the age of 13. While at Barcelona, he featured in Nike’s 2005 “Recuerda mi nombre” [“Remember my name”] advertisement alongside fellow La Masia prospect Lionel Messi and trained with Spanish national team players Busquets, Pique and Fabregas.
He won European Championship with Spanish U-19 team in 2007. Over 17 years of professional career Carles played in Spain, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Georgia, Belarus and Uzbekistan winning 5 league titles, 3 domestic cups and 2 supercups.
Playing in so many different countries taught him something important: no matter where you go, the technical basics make all the difference.
